24 hours ago was not the same story. Miley got a little scrape on a back leg so I scratched her from the stockyards jackpot…then I proceeded to ride Maverick & Socks SO terrible…I was dry heaving after my run…crying for most of my drive home. I was so disappointed in myself. I had played a huge head game on myself and my mind & body had enough.

Today, I got lost on the way to the jackpot…showed up just in time to safely warm up & run. I took a slower cruise through on Socks to rebuild our confidence and proud to say we both did great! Then I ran Maverick…nailed…I mean nailed our 1st! It was AWESOME! No video proof but I know what I felt…and got a little over excited at 2nd which wasn’t perfect…but nailed our 3rd as well!

Friends, don’t give up…there will be days we mess up…there will be days our horse is off. Surround yourself with people that lift you up and encourage you when you feel like punching yourself in the face. Thank you friends and family that picked me up when I was falling apart!
