Blue Collar Boss – Troy Crumrine Collects $65,600 in Blue Collar Breeders Cash
by Tanya Randall for The Barrel Racing ReportAll-time leading futurity rider Troy Crumrine nabbed the lion’s share of the Blue Collar Breeders bonus funds at the Ardmore Barrel Futurity, held September 25-27 in Oklahoma.
Crumrine and the 4-year-old stallion Blazin Boss (“Jaxâ€), owned by Hayle Gibson of Redcrest, California, topped the Blue Collar Futurity incentive for $63,500 in total earnings. The owner’s share was $48,500, while Jax’s breeder Amy Williams collected $15,000.
The Waynesfield, Ohio, based trainer also topped the Blue Collar Open incentive, earning $2,100 on the 7-year-old stallion SR Industry Titan, owned by Tom and Nick Wylie of Swanton, Ohio. When combined with his non-incentive earnings from Ardmore, Crumrine collected $80,884. “I thank God every day for giving me something that I love to
do,†said Crumrine, who also wanted to thank his family and his help at home. “That Blue Collar is such a good deal.â€
